Repaired a frozen Singer 128-23 sewing machine, electric. Cleaned up the machine, including the inside and oiling it up, to getting the slide plate and bobbin un-rusted together. Then I took apart the motor and and re-greased it. Finally rewired it. Twice. The first time the cord wasn't long enough for the controller to reach the ground. Oops.
Gave it away! Hopefully it works out well for my friend. She knows how to sew already, so it's a matter of learning how to make the adjustments (tension, stitch length, needle and thread choice) needed for her first project.
