I've had a quilt, well, about four quilts, churning around in my head since mid-January. Two are baby quilts, and one of the showers is in less than two weeks. The cutting is done, and I'll need to start piecing very soon. I'll the strip piecing technique to use a bag of Moda Lollipop scraps to the best of my ability, just some mix of 2" and 1.5" strips, including seam allowances. Then we'll see how many squares that nets. Maybe I'll try interfacing to eek out a bit more from the scraps, like this technique I saw on Sew, Mama, Sew.
The quilt will be loosely based on a pattern from Fons and Porter's 'Learn to Quilt' Winter 2010 called Sassy Stripes.
Knowing my friend, the kiddo will need a sassy quilt! Sass!
